Dhoom 2 movie in tamil. Coldplay might already be one of the biggest bands in the world, but headlining the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday will take them to a whole new level.

Still so relevant after 16 years, it's a gig they truly deserve and, as Chris Martin himself puts it, 'the greatest moment of our band's life'. No doubt experienced guests Beyoncé and Bruno will help with the nerves, too.

So, before you and another 150-odd million people gear up to watch the big show, read our updated ranking of Coldplay's seven albums below to see where we've charted both Ghost Stories and A Head Full of Dreams

7. X&Y (Released June 6, 2005)

This was not a bad album. But, looking back, X&Y marked a defining moment for the group and it was one which transformed their whole trajectory - it was the first time they sounded as big as their popularity suggested.

'Square One's motif actually came from the 1968 blockbuster 2001: A Space Odyssey, 'Speed of Sound' was drenched in synths the size of Bono's advice book and 'Fix You', although an utter beaut in its own right, overegged the lovely subtlety their previous ballads possessed. It absolutely made sense for Coldplay to pile it on even more after Rush of Blood, but X&Y was sometimes too inflated.

'Til Kingdom Come', which would have been a Johnny Cash duet but for the country star's death, and 'A Message' still showcased the softly-softly guitars Martin and Jonny Buckland are so good at. It would be interesting to know what would have happened had Coldplay not blown up as early as they did - they may not be as divisive today, and album three may have given them a perfect record.

Best track: 'Til Kingdom Come'

6. A Head Full of Dreams (Released December 4, 2015)

It took them seven albums to do it - but Chris Martin declared that Coldplay finally sounded like they always hoped they would on their latest record. Weird to think, therefore, that the Jeff Buckley-obsessed student who conceived 2000's soft rock masterpiece Parachutes was ultimately meaning to unite with Stargate - the Norwegian mega-producers behind pop hits like 'S Club Party'.

But Martin is an evolved being - and nothing quite changed him like his marriage split. Throwing in inspirations from 13th century Persian poet Rumi to Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl, the frontman went from heartbroken (Ghost Stories) to full-blown hippie - especially so on the rapturous lead single 'Adventure of a Lifetime'.

It was preachy in parts, and no-one should have to hear Martin rapping through a vocoder ('X Marks the Spot'), let alone 'Conscious Uncoupling: The Single' ('Everglow'). But Stargate's influence prospered when the band just went for it - giant pop hooks and vows of joy - delivering the kind of buzz that made Coldplay so special in the first place.

Best track: 'Up&Up'

5. Viva la Vida or Death & All His Friends (Released June 11, 2008)

If you'll excuse the irritating French revolutionary costumes - perhaps the most extravagant of all the Coldplay album threads - the dark and obscure streaks to this record made for a fairly unexpected turn by the band after they went all out on X&Y. It wasn't exactly Kid A - this is still Coldplay we're talking about - but it was the toughest of their albums to get into.

The first produced by Brian Eno, they experimented with braver chord structures and took on new, unorthodox styles. 'Cemeteries of London' and '42' ducked and dived with striding, ghostly strings and it paid off. 'Yes', however, followed the trend of adopting North African tablas and it wasn't as convincing, and neither was 'Lost!'s tribal routine.

It's somewhat ironic given its hit-and-miss nature that the album also included the band's biggest commercial triumph to date. But 'Viva la Vida's Jerusalem bells and Roman Cavalry choirs really were that stellar and Martin's story of a tortured king was his most intriguing yet. Album four saw Coldplay as eccentric as Coldplay could get - it didn't always come off but they get points for trying.

Best track: 'Viva la Vida'

4. Ghost Stories (Released May 16, 2014)

Leaping across the stage of the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2012, he was the man who had everything. 60,000 fans nightly chanting back each and every one of his band's unmistakable hits, a beautiful Hollywood wife and two kids, and the knowledge that no matter what direction Coldplay took next, they'd forever sell out the world's most corporate of colosseums.

But if there was ever an example that looks can be deceiving, this was it. Martin admitted two years later that he was a 'mess because he couldn't enjoy the thing that we're good at, the great things around me'. He said his anxieties affected the people he loved, and the melancholic Ghost Stories - pretty much a Chris Martin solo album - was the result of his breakup from Gwyneth.

If you thought they did heartbreaking before, the weight of 'True Love' and 'O' didn't even compare to 'The Scientist' and 'Fix You'. Not all of Martin's words were as seducing - 'Ink' and 'Another's Arms' lousy rhyming got in the way of some touching moments of sorrow. But though this one took personal damage, Coldplay once again assembled a minimal album new and different to everything they've done.

Best track: 'O'

3. Mylo Xyloto (Released October 19, 2011)

Making up words to name your album is a pretty pretentious move - even more so than giving one a subtitle (see No. 5). But, having become supermassive yet still hoarding hate everywhere from Peep Show ('People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis') to Corey Taylor ('They make music to wipe your arse to'), Mylo Xyloto's shtick was that they weren't going to give a toss anymore.

They'd make up their own words, they'd team up with Rihanna, they'd appear on The X Factor. And they'd even create an all-out pop record. From the fiery chimes of 'Hurts Like Heaven', it was clear just how poppy. Aside from the formidable RiRi duet 'Princess of China', 'Paradise' was about as bubblegum as it got - bright, shining chorus lines and a decree to dream the bad thoughts away.

Few songs were devoid of a dramatic setting - 'U.F.O.' was a standalone beauty of just Martin and an acoustic guitar. Otherwise, Mylo Xyloto took Coldplay's sound to uncharted landscapes. It was a liberating evolution for a band who've never made the same album twice and who were so unashamed about sweetening their music.

Best track: 'Princess of China'

2. Parachutes (Released July 10, 2000)

Britpop was dead, The Strokes were still hiding in their Manhattan ghetto and Simon Cowell's talent show was merely an evil idea. If there wasn't such a gaping hole in the charts for something major-league, who knows what would have happened to the four UCL students who persuaded Parlophone into a five-album contract? That's not to take anything away from this classic debut record, though.

Martin spent much of the Parachutes tour apologising to fans for becoming this 'Tesco, middle-of-the-road, big-selling band'. As much as his boyish charm was naive to the swirling soft rock phenomenon happening around him, the brilliant, accomplished 'Yellow', 'Trouble' and'Everything's Not Lost' were only ever going to send Coldplay skywards.

The serene 'Spies', 'Sparks' and 'We Never Change' presented their Buckley-influenced sensitivity, while 'Don't Panic's rich, impelling hook laid the groundwork for what became this band's whole mantra: to hope and triumph. Martin was genuine in saying they didn't intend to take on the world, but with Parachutes they never had a choice.

1. A Rush of Blood to the Head (Released August 26, 2002)

Not many bands headline Glastonbury after one record, but then not many are subjected to the levels of hype Coldplay were following their debut. Chris Martin's deep-lying neurosis somehow managed to avoid the extra-heavy pressures of second album syndrome, however, and we were left with what is still his band's greatest moment yet.

This was probably the last time Coldplay didn't sound like the biggest act in the world. 'In My Place' and 'Clocks' were grander and more expansive than Parachutes but they weren't overcooked in a Brian Eno-trademarked oven of synths. 'The Scientist' was very simple piano and heartbreak, yet it's a ballad so hard not to sob at even 12 years on.

It was the non-singles that made this album so great, though. 'Green Eyes' and 'Warning Sign' were bathed in gorgeous, understated melodies missing from later works, and the title track (a Johnny Cash tribute) had Martin on a philosophical high. Before being swept away by Hollywood actresses and big-time producers, Rush of Blood was Coldplay on the border of stadium anthems and at their finest.

Best track: 'The Scientist'
